Developments at the college

 Phase 1 of the building expansion programme at Broomfield started in June 1962. A new teaching block with 3 teaching rooms plus a laboratory facility was built together with a demonstration building. These buildings came into use during the summer of 1963 and enabled further expansion of classes with the improvement in facilities.
